University of Sydney Honours Graduate in Pharmacology, also studied International Business, with a focus on marketing and international business strategy.
Luke started at Datapharm Australia as a graduate, progressing in the clinical department as a CTA, CRA, Lead CRA, CCRA to Senior CRA , Clinical Project Manager and Head of the Monitoring Team.
Luke now has over 10 years experience in clinical research, and manages projects both early and late phase clinical trials in various therapeutic areas. Luke has a passion for achieving goals, enjoys working with different people, and gains satisfaction from solving Sponsors’ challenges.
Luke also plays an important role in business development activities for Datapharm Australia.

Chief Executive Officer - Swanson Reed
Damian Smyth is Swanson Reed’s Chief Executive Officer.
Damian began his career in general tax advisory. He has served as a Director of Swanson Reed since 2008 and moved into his current role on 1 July 2013.
Damian has a special interest in forward tax planning and claim substantiation advice. He is active in the Patent Box conversation and the debate concerning the push to reduce global R&D incentives by the OECD.
Damian has an industry focus in electricity generation and construction assets. Damian is an avid sports fan and passionate about fitness.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER - SWANSON REED
James Tng has been a partner since 2006. He has decades of experience in tax and business advice to businesses, migrants, overseas and Australian businesses and government agencies.
James generally looks after the ongoing tax affairs for clients with complex tax issues and has extensive knowledge and experience in assisting clients with business advisory, development and planning issues. James also assists businesses and individuals from overseas in setting up in Australia, providing strategic financial know-how and applying his extensive knowledge of tax systems.
